Overview
Lahan Technical School (Lahan Prabidhik Shikshalaya - लहान प्राविधिक शिक्षालय, लहान न.पा. १०, ग्रामिण चौक, लहान, सिराहा) was established in 1983 under the Sagarmatha Integrated Rural Development Project (SIRDP) to fulfill the need for a basic level skilled workforce in the Agriculture & Construction Sector. The physical facilities were developed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). At present, the school is running under the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and covers 9.478 hectors a total land area.
Lahan Technical School (LTS) has been running Diploma in Civil engineering, Diploma in agriculture (plant science), Diploma in Agriculture (Animal Science), Pre-Diploma in Civil Engineering (Civil Sub-Overseer), Pre-Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Sub-overseer), Pre-Diploma in Plant Science, Pre-Diploma in Survey Engineering (AMIN), Pre-Diploma in Veterinary Science and offering short term vocational training in various occupation. The school also Collaboration with Sagarmatha Choudhary Eye Hospital (SCEH), Lahan, to conduct the PCL in Ophthalmic Science program.
With its establishment the technical school belief that skill and effort are the essential elements for the all-around development of a country, the school has ascertained its aim to produce a technically skilled workforce of the basic and middle level necessary for the uplift of the status of the community and the country.
Since its establishment, the institution has always been emphasizing on empowering people with the possible skills under the available technical courses. LTS is continuously making our endeavors in the field of creating self-employment opportunities and producing skilled human resources as the nation demands.
