Kathmandu Bernhardt School/College Marks 25th Anniversary

Kathmandu Bernhardt School/College celebrated its 25th establishment anniversary—its Silver Jubilee (2082)—with a formal program. The institution was founded on Ashad 14, 2057 BS.

The event was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Bhupesh Chatkuli, Chairperson of the Bernhardt Management Committee, and in the presence of three founding directors. Principals from various schools and colleges, as well as Bernhardt faculty and staff, were also in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Academic Director and Principal Purushottam Bista reflected on the institution's journey since its inception. He shared that Bernhardt has never lagged in academic activities or results since its founding.

Executive Director Nawaraj Adhikari stated that no obstacle has ever hindered Bernhardt's success in quality education. He credited strong team commitment, dedication, and the collective effort of teachers and staff in establishing Bernhardt as a leading academic institution.

Vision from the Academic Advisor

Academic Advisor Prof. Dr. Narayan Prasad Chapagain provided a brief overview of the institution's timeline, emphasizing the need to continue delivering education aligned with market demands. He expressed satisfaction in seeing Bernhardt graduates make a global impact.

Recognition of Long-Term Staff

To mark the occasion, the college awarded four teachers and administrators who have been serving since the establishment with NPR 25,000 in cash. Additionally, faculty and staff with ten years of service were honored with certificates.

Remarks from the Chairperson

Concluding the program, Chairperson Bhupesh Chatkuli stated that the vision behind founding Kathmandu Bernhardt had been fulfilled. He expressed appreciation to all teachers, guardians, and students for their support and contribution to the institution's success.

Distinct Academic Identity

Kathmandu Bernhardt College, established on Ashad 14, 2057 BS under the Bernhardt Foundation, has created a distinct identity in Nepal’s education sector. The institution has made significant strides in both teaching and learning.

First Private School with QAA Certification

Kathmandu Bernhardt is the first private institution to receive the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certificate. It provides education from nursery to master’s level, maintaining a strong academic record.

Training and Guidance for Practical Learning

In addition to the National Examination Board curriculum, the school offers a range of training programs. Students receive personal counseling and support, resulting in excellent academic outcomes.

Board Toppers and Academic Achievements

Bernhardt students topped the Higher Secondary Education Board exams in 2058, 2061, 2062, 2068, and 2070. Anish Khanal achieved a GPA of 3.93 under the letter grading system in 2076. Students also topped the National Examination Board in 2078 and 2079.

National Recognition

In 2076, Kathmandu Bernhardt College was declared the best private college by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. By its 25th year, the college had produced hundreds of doctors, nurses, engineers, and civil servants.

Student Sirjana Bajracharya from the college topped Tribhuvan University in 2065.
