Pashupati Tattwa Discourse and Scholars’ Assembly Conclude at Pashupati

A Pashupati Tattwa discourse and scholars’ assembly (PashupatiTattwa Vimarsha tatha Vidvat Sabha) has been concluded at Shankaracharya Math, Pashupati, organised by Mahesh Sanskrit Gurukul.

With the pious objective of national peace, a Shrimad Bhagavat Mahapurana week-long Mahayagya has begun at the Shankaracharya Math, inspired by the spiritual resolve of Swami Ramananda Giri, Peethadheesh of Mahesh Sannyas Ashram.

Scholars’ Assembly on the Eve of the Mahayagya

The scholars’ assembly was organised on the eve of the Bhagavat Mahayagya.

The gathering was attended by founding Academic Dean of Nepal Sanskrit University and distinguished scholar of Nyayatantra and related shastras, Professor Vidyanath Upadhyaya; eminent scholar of Nyaya and Vedanta philosophy, Prof. Dr Dirgharaj Ghimire; lecturer and interpreter of Vedanta philosophy and Dharmashastra and Puranas, Professor Bhawaniprasad Khatriwoda; Chairperson of Gurukul Pravardhan Samaj and skilled Bhagavat speaker, Acharya Kapildev Subedi; among others.

Philosophical Reflections on Pashupati Tattwa

Professor Bhawaniprasad Khatriwoda explained the relevance of organising the scholars’ assembly and shared his philosophical reflections on the essence of Pashupati Tattwa.

Devidprasad Chapagain, a distinguished scholar who has edited and published a voluminous work on Pashupati and is also a practitioner devoted to the principle of Shakti Tattwa, presented his views on Pashupati Tattwa.

Expositions on Historical, Scriptural and Philosophical Dimensions

Eminent Vedanta scholar Prof. Dr Dirgharaj Ghimire highlighted the historical and mythological significance of the Pashupati area and delivered an in-depth, non-dualistic (Advaita-based) philosophical discourse on Pashupati Tattwa.

Similarly, distinguished scholar of Nyaya and related philosophies and authoritative practitioner of Tantric scriptures, Professor Vidyanath Upadhyaya, delivered a poetic, Advaita-based and philosophical discourse on Pashupati Tattwa.
