NEA Written Exam Schedule for Various Posts

The Public Service Commission, Security Agencies and Organized Institutions Division, Examination Operation Branch, has published the written examination schedule for various posts under internal competition, open, and inclusive categories for the Nepal Electricity Authority.

According to the advertisements published on January 1, 2026 (2082/09/18 BS), the commission issued the notice fixing the examination dates, time, number of candidates, roll numbers, and centers for the relevant posts.

The commission has also informed that the examination schedule for Level 5 posts to be conducted by offices under the commission will be published separately.

Examination Instructions

Mandatory Rules

The commission has made various rules mandatory for the orderly conduct of the examination.

• Writing Instrument: Candidates must use only a dot pen or pen with black ink on the answer sheet.

• Multiple Choice Answers: For objective multiple-choice questions, only answers written in English capital letters A, B, C, and D will be recognized.

• Prohibited Items: Bags, mobile phones, and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination building.

• Unexpected Holiday: Even if an unexpected public holiday occurs, the scheduled examination will not be postponed without prior notice from the commission.

• Admit Card: Entry to the examination is not allowed without the admit card.

• Arrival Time: Candidates must reach the examination center at least one hour before the examination begins.

• Identity Document: Candidates must bring their citizenship certificate or any photo identity card issued by the Government of Nepal along with the admit card.

• Examination Standard: The examination will be conducted in compliance with the Public Service Commission recruitment and promotion guidelines and the examination operation standards issued by the commission for special circumstances.

Provision for a Writing Assistant

In accordance with Rule 68 of the Public Service Commission Regulations, 2079 BS, candidates who require a writing assistant must appear in person at the commission office conducting the examination and submit an application at least 10 days before the examination date.
