Chainpur Municipality (Nepali: चैनपुर नगरपालिका) was incorporated in 2017 AD as a local government of Nepal. The headquarters of this municipality is situated in Chainpur, Sankhuwasabha District. Chainpur Nagarpalika Located in the southern part of Sankhuwasabha district, considered to have been named after the religious, historical name of Chainpur, is filled with ancient historical natural beauty. The area, which has 65 percent cultivable land, is paddy, maize, Kodo, wheat, sugarcane and cardamom, almond, coffee, tea, ginger, chilly, nectarine, orange, potato, Bodhi, Mas, Mausam, mango, Rudraksha (Dana). Cashiers and vegetables are produced. Similarly, animals like cows, buffaloes, ranchers, goats, goats, sheep, and poultry are reared. Farming and livestock farming is traditionally used here, while Rudraksha and Cardamom are important cash crops in this area. Hydropower is being produced at several places including Piluwakhola, Hewakhola and in some stages of production.
