Foods such as raisins, lees, crumpets, feta, coke and fruity were the only conditions for girls to be satisfied. But in the past, the behavior of the two daughters has changed drastically. Lalitha's daughters, who cannot live without junk food, now remind their mother that they do not have to eat junk foods. Sometimes even for quick snacks, the daughters have abused their mother.
Not only this, the daughters went to school with two or three hundred rupees of chocolate on their birthdays and celebrated the birthday by giving chocolate to all the friends. Now, she has gone to school with not only chocolate but also laundry detergent. They celebrate their birthday by giving soap to school.
They have been focusing on washing hands before meals, washing hands during school hours, cleaning house cleaning and so on. This change has not come about yet. The lifestyle of these students has changed since the implementation of 'One School One Nurse' program in 6 other schools like Padma Kanya.
Even in the other six schools where the state government has implemented the program, the students have changed their lifestyle. Are. Milan Ghimire, a Nursing Officer, and Coordinator of the School Nurse Program at the Ministry of Social Development in the province said that the students' behavior was successful in bringing about a big change.
Not only to make students healthier but also to improve their quality of life, coordinator Ghimire said, "If only one state-level school, one school nurse program could be implemented across the country, tomorrow's generation would benefit."
Urmila Pudasaini, a nurse at the Padmakanya Vidyashram School in Dillibazar, said that the health records of 1,200 students were kept at the school. He said that the negative attitude towards junk food has started to rise in the students, adding that they have to change their lifestyle so as to bring a positive attitude towards the health of the students.
Lila Maharjan, a nurse at Tripadam Vidyashram Secondary School in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, says the Nurse program has been successful in bringing about a lot of changes in students' lives. Stating that students in grades 1 through 12 are becoming aware of their health, she suggested that 'One School One Nurse' program should be implemented in virtually every school in Nepal.
Apply to school
After the Nurse One School program became effective in the province, the state government is going to implement the program at 19 local levels. Minister for Social Development of the state Yuvraj Dulal informed that preparations are underway to implement 'One School One Nurse' program in 9 local level schools in the current fiscal year. He said that the program is going to be implemented in 4 schools to make the program more effective.
