Education Minister’s Directives: Compulsory Computer Teacher in Every School
Education, Science, and Technology Minister Mahabir Pun has directed that every school must have one sanctioned position for a computer teacher. He issued this directive on the second day after assuming his ministerial duties.
His instruction clearly states that one computer teacher position must be mandatorily added to every community school.
“To ensure that students studying in community secondary schools across Nepal are not deprived of computer education, every school must add one sanctioned position for a computer teacher,” the directive stated.
Three Urgent Directives Issued
On Tuesday, Minister Pun issued three important directives, labeling them as tasks that need immediate implementation:

Compulsory Computer Teacher Position: Every community secondary school must add a sanctioned post for a computer teacher to ensure students receive computer education.

Timely Publication of Exam Results: All universities must publish exam results within three months of conducting examinations. The minister warned that universities failing to publish results on time would have their government grants frozen.

Beautification of TU Kirtipur Premises: He instructed that the overgrown bushes inside Tribhuvan University’s Kirtipur premises be cleared (without cutting down large trees) and developed into a clean garden with proper footpaths.
