Hanumandhoka Durbar Museum Calls for Research Articles for ‘Hanumandhoka Durbar’ Journal
Kathmandu: Hanumandhoka Durbar Museum, Basantapur, under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, has invited research articles for publication in the Hanumandhoka Durbar journal as part of its approved annual programme. Issuing a notice on 18 Shrawan 2083, the museum requested interested authors to submit their articles within 30 days from the date of publication of the notice.
The journal is scheduled to be published under the museum’s programme for the current fiscal year 2083/84. It will include only research-based articles related to the culture, archaeology, museums, heritage and world heritage of the Hanumandhoka Durbar area. Interested researchers and authors may submit a soft copy of their article to the museum at journalhanumandhoka@gmail.com or to the Administration Section of the office.
The basic requirements and formats prescribed by the museum for articles and research papers are as follows:
Proposal Submission: Before submitting an article for publication in the journal, authors must submit a proposal containing the title of the article, research problem, theoretical framework and a possible outline of the analysis.
Expert Review: Once a proposal submitted in the prescribed format has been approved, the author will be asked to submit the research paper for expert review.
Language and Originality: Research papers must be written in Nepali or English. Each paper must be entirely original, investigative, idea-based and research-oriented, and must not have been published previously through any other medium.
Article Structure: A research paper must include the title, author’s name and affiliation, abstract, keywords, introduction, problem statement, research methodology, analysis and results, conclusion, and references or materials used. As far as possible, articles should follow the IMRD format—Information, Method, Result and Discussion.
Word Limit and Font: A research paper must not exceed 4,000 words. Articles written in Devanagari script must use Preeti font in size 16, while those written in Roman script must use Times New Roman in size 14.
Reference Style: Research papers must be prepared according to the seventh edition of the American Psychological Association (APA) format.
Grounds for Rejection: The Editorial Board will not be obliged to publish articles that fail to meet research standards or do not include all the components specified above. Such articles will be rejected for publication.
Remuneration and Journal Copy: After publication, authors will receive an author’s fee or remuneration as determined, inclusive of tax, along with one copy of the journal.
Publication Elsewhere: Articles submitted for publication in this journal may not be published elsewhere without obtaining prior approval from the publisher.
