Karnali PSC Recommends Alternate Candidate

The Provincial Public Service Commission, Karnali Province (Interview and Recommendation Branch) has recommended one candidate from the alternate list for permanent appointment to the post of Senior Administration Assistant.
As per the Commission’s decision dated February 17, 2026 [2082-11-05 (BS)], the alternate candidate has been recommended to fill a vacant position.
Reason for Recommending an Alternate Candidate
Under Advertisement No. 305/2081-082 (Open), for the post under the Provincial Administration Service, General Administration Group, Assistant Fifth Level, the post became vacant because the previously recommended main candidate accepted appointment to another post.
The main candidate with Roll No. 1370, Chetan Baduwal, was recommended by the Federal Public Service Commission, Surkhet Office on January 6, 2026 [2082-09-23 (BS)] and took permanent appointment as Nayab Subba at the Rara National Park Office, Mugu.
As the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Karnali Province, Birendranagar, Surkhet, requested (via its letter dated February 2, 2026 [2082-10-20 (BS)]) that an alternate candidate be recommended, the Commission decided to remove the main candidate from the merit order list and recommend an alternate candidate for the vacant post.
