Prof. Yoo Hang Kim Award for Young Women Scientists
AASSA has invited applications for the 2026 Award: Prof. Yoo Hang Kim Young Women Scientists Award.
The Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA) is set to provide this award for young women scientists working in STEM fields, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Award Details
The organizer has stated that up to five scientists will be awarded this year, and each winner will receive a scholarship worth Amount: USD 2,000.
The winning scientists may use this amount as reimbursement for expenses related to participation in an international scientific conference, including Coverage: airfare, registration fee, accommodation, and daily expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the award, the applicant must have completed a Degree: PhD no more than five years ago.
In addition, applicants must already have presented or published the results of their research at an internationally recognized scientific conference or in a journal.
Conference Requirement
Applicants must provide information about an international conference recognized by AASSA that they wish to attend.
They must also submit proof that they have received approval to present their research paper at that conference.
Application Process
Interested scientists from Nepal must apply through the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).
Applicants are required to fill out the online form available on the official AASSA website and send it, along with the required documents, to Email: planning@nast.org.np within the prescribed deadline.
Selection Process
From the applications received, NAST will select and recommend the Nominee: one best candidate to the AASSA Secretariat.
AASSA has stated that it will complete the final selection process and publish the results by Result Date: June 15, 2026.
