ADB Japan Scholarship Program (JSP) 2020:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) -Japan Scholarship Program (JSP) is inviting applications for 150 postgraduate scholarships for studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions.
ADB is committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and Pacific while maintaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty.
It assists its members and partners by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investment to promote social and economic development.
Level/field of study:
Masters and Ph.D. students are eligible for this ADB-Japan Scholarship Program.

Scholarship Worth:
The scholarship provides full-tuition fees, expenses, accommodation, books, and tuition, medical insurance, and a monthly allowance for travel. For scholars engaged in research, a special grant may be available for the preparation of the thesis. In special circumstances, computer literacy, elementary language, and other similar courses may be covered under the scholarship.
Eligibility
The scholarship program is open to those who have gained admission to an approved MA / Ph.D. Course in a Participating Educational Institution. Candidates must be 35 years of age or younger; Good health; With a bachelor's degree or its equivalent; And has a superior academic record.
Upon completion of their programs of study, scholars are expected to return to their country to contribute to their economic and social development.
How to apply for ADB-Japan Scholarship:
- Applicants should indicate to the educational institution that they are applying for admission and will be considered for the ADB-JSP scholarship. Completed institution application form and necessary documents, including ADB Japan Scholarship Program Application Form, should be submitted to the educational institution.
- Applicants should ensure that they submit accurate and complete documents. Failure to do so may result in the application not being processed or the termination of an award if documentation or information has been provided that is later determined to be incorrect.
- Applicants are required to submit their latest income tax return or their annual salary / monthly salary certificate, whichever is available. They should also produce a certificate of family income (parent's income).
- Applications for scholarships must be sent at least 6 months before the planned time to begin studies.
