BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital Extends Clinical Fellowship Admission Deadline

B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Bharatpur, Chitwan, has extended the application deadline for student admission to its Clinical Fellowship program for the academic year 2083/084 (2026).

The hospital had invited applications through a notice published on 2083/05/01. It stated that the deadline has been extended by one week because most students were unable to participate due to the natural disaster caused by the Bhotekoshi flood.

According to the new notice, interested candidates can now apply from 2083/06/01 to 2083/06/07.

The sixth batch of the Clinical Fellowship program, approved by the Nepal Medical Council, has the following subjects and seat allocations:

  • Clinical Fellowship in Onco-anesthesiology: 1 (one)

  • Clinical Fellowship in Breast Onco-surgery: 1 (one)

  • Clinical Fellowship ENT, Head & Neck Onco-surgery: 2 (two)

  • Clinical Fellowship in Orthopedics Onco-surgery: 1 (one)

  • Clinical Oncopathology: 2 (two)

  • Clinical Fellowship in Uro-Oncosurgery: 1 (one)

  • Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Haemato-oncology: 1 (one)

  • Clinical Fellowship in Oncological Radio Diagnosis: 2 (two)

Eligibility and Application Process

Candidates who have completed a postgraduate degree (MD/MS) or equivalent in the relevant subject from a recognized educational institution, obtained a specialist registration certificate from the Nepal Medical Council (NMC), and have at least 1 (one) year of work experience are eligible to apply.

Applicants must download and complete the application form available on the hospital’s website: www.bpkmch.gov.np.

An application fee of Rs. 2,000 (two thousand) must be deposited into the hospital’s account no. 0508601173472012 at Agricultural Development Bank, and the deposit voucher must be attached with the application.

The prescribed form and required documents may be scanned and sent to the hospital’s email at fellowships.bpkmch@gmail.com or submitted to the hospital administration during office hours.

Applicants must submit approval from their current employing office, citizenship certificate, MD/MS transcript/marksheet, NMC registration certificate, equivalence certificate if they studied at a foreign university, work experience certificate, and a recommendation letter from the concerned institution in the case of sponsored candidates.

Selection and Other Rules

  • Candidates must pass the written and oral selection examinations conducted by the hospital for admission. The examination date, time and venue will be announced later.

  • Special preference will be given to candidates sponsored by government institutions or government-owned institutions.

  • The fellowship program admission fee is Rs. 15,000.

  • During the fellowship, a monthly subsistence allowance equivalent to the starting salary scale of the ninth level of the Government of Nepal will be provided in return for services rendered. The amount will be subject to tax in accordance with Government of Nepal rules.

  • The fellowship will have a duration of 1 (one) year. At the end of the program, fellows must pass the prescribed examinations, including written, oral and practical examinations.

  • The hospital has stated that students may be expelled from the program if they engage in activities contrary to the rules.

  • Final decisions regarding the program will be made in accordance with the hospital’s Guidelines 2080 and the NMC Guidelines.
