About applying for Foreign Employment Scholarship (Academic Year 2077) of the Secretariat of the Foreign Employment Board

For foreign employment scholarships to the children of workers who have died within the contract period or have become completely disabled or seriously ill after going for foreign employment with a labor permit; This information has been published for the information of all the stakeholders concerned to apply within the end of Ashoj 2077 in the format as per schedule (1) of the Foreign Employment Scholarship Operation Procedure, 207 in the educational institution where they are studying.

Student Application Body:

  • In the format of Schedule 1 in the educational institution where he/she is studying.

The basis for applying for a scholarship:

  • Death or disability, or illness of a worker who has gone for foreign employment with a labor permit should be the son or daughter of a worker who has received 100% financial assistance from the Foreign Employment Board.
  • Only children under 18 years of age studying in community and institutional schools (pre-primary class or nursery or similar to class 12) can apply.
  • Scholarship for the academic session 2077 will be provided only to the children of the workers who receive the above financial assistance until the end of Shrawan 2077.

Documents to be attached with the application (for those who have not yet received the scholarship):

  • Copy of worker's work permit (sticker).
  • Copy of citizenship of the petitioner's guardian.
  • Copy of death registration certificate of the worker who died in the course of foreign employment.
  • Copy of passport of the worker to be proved to have received financial assistance from the board and passport no. .
  • Proof of total disability of the workers who went for foreign employment and became disabled at the same time.
  • Copy of student's birth registration.
  • Copy of proof of the relationship between applicant, guardian, and worker.
  • Recommendations of the concerned local level.

For children receiving scholarships:

  • Student's application.
  • Recommendation letter for studying schools.
  • Copy of the worker's passport.

Scholarship Limit:

  • Annually for basic level, 8,000. (Eight thousand) and for secondary level 12,000 (twelve thousand) will be provided.
  • One student will be provided a one-time lump sum foreign employment scholarship only once in a class.

School Responsibilities:

  • To disseminate information related to foreign employment scholarship to all concerned students and parents.
  • The submitted applications should be collected and the documents to be attached with the application should be examined as per the Foreign Employment Scholarship Operation Procedure, 2071 BS.
  • Applications deemed appropriate from the inquiry should be sent to the Education Development and Coordination Unit with the recommendation in the format of Schedule (2) of the said procedure by 15th Kartik, 2077.
  • The amount of scholarship received through the concerned Education Development and Coordination Unit should be made available to all the concerned students and the information should be given to the Education Development and Coordination Unit.

Responsibility of Education Development and Coordination Unit:

  • To inform all the schools within the district to collect the details of receiving a scholarship as per the Foreign Employment Scholarship Operating Procedure, 2071 BS, and submit it to the unit.
  • Applications received with a recommendation from the concerned school should be examined and sent to the Foreign Employment Board by 15th Manshir 2077 with the details mentioned in Schedule (3) of the Rules of Procedure.
  • Arrangements should be made to provide the scholarship money sent directly from the Board Secretariat through the Education and Human Resource Development Center or through the concerned school to the students who have chosen to receive the scholarship and remit it to the Board Secretariat.
