26,680 Eligible for Kathmandu Mahanagarpalika Class 11-12 Scholarship Exam
A total of 26,680 examinees have been found eligible to participate in the examination conducted by Kathmandu Metropolitan City to recommend students for scholarships in Class 11 and 12. According to the Metropolitan City, out of 26,888 students who applied, the forms of 208 students were rejected.
Education Officer and Member-Secretary of the Examination Committee Ramchandra Khadka said students can obtain their admit cards from the same system through which they submitted their applications. The admit card mentions the examination center and the responsibilities to be followed by the examinee.
Khadka said the admit card must be printed in color. According to him, this arrangement has been made to prevent others from sitting for the examination in the name of students who wish to study under the scholarship quota.
Since 2080 BS, Kathmandu Metropolitan City has been conducting examinations under a policy decision to provide scholarships in schools operating Class 11 and 12 within the metropolitan area. This year, the scholarship selection examination for students seeking to study under scholarship in Class 11 and 12 in institutional educational institutions will be held on Jestha 17.
Examinees can log in to the Metropolitan City’s official portal, ‘entrance.kathmandu.gov.np’, and download their admit cards. While logging in to the site, the SEE symbol number must be entered as the username. After entering the date of birth and the password received through email or message, the page will open.
The admit card must be printed in color. The Metropolitan City has stated that admit cards printed in black and white, or those without a clear photo and details, will not be accepted.
When coming to the examination center, examinees must bring an official identity document with a photo along with the admit card. For this purpose, any one of the SEE admit card, school ID card, or citizenship certificate will be accepted.
Examinees must compulsorily follow the examination rules and code of conduct mentioned on the back of the admit card. If the rules are violated, the examination will be canceled and action will be taken in accordance with the law.
For conducting the examination, the Education Department has already completed orientation for the center heads. Instructions have been given to conduct a clean and fair examination, to ensure that students do not experience the examination as a complicated process, and to facilitate an environment where students can write their answers without fear.
According to Education Officer Namraj Dhakal, the ward-level committee recommends students for scholarships up to Class 10. For the scholarship quota of Class 11 and 12, the Education Department conducts the examination and makes recommendations based on the results.
