Kathmandu Metropolitan City Publishes Scholarship Second-Phase Nomination List
Kathmandu Metropolitan City has published the second-phase nomination list for selecting students to study under scholarship in Grade 11 and 12. The second-phase matching list has been made public to select students for scholarships for the academic session 2083/084 in institutional educational institutions operated under the Metropolitan City.
As per the Scholarship Management Procedure, 2083, the final merit order of the examination held on Jestha 17 was published on Jestha 21. After the details of students admitted within the prescribed deadline of Jestha 27, as per the first-phase nomination list published on Jestha 22, were updated in the software by the educational institutions, the Metropolitan City stated that the second-phase nomination list was published for the remaining vacant seats.
According to the Metropolitan City, 3,051 students have been admitted under the scholarship quota from the first matching list. A total of 3,735 students had been nominated in the first list. Among those admitted, 1,901 students are in Science, 1,111 in Management, 34 in Law, and five in Humanities.
Based on the vacant seats, the second-phase nomination list was published as per the decision of the Examination Committee dated Jestha 29. According to Education Officer and Member Secretary of the Examination Committee Ram Chandra Khadka, 486 students have been recommended in the second list. Of them, 323 students have been recommended for Science, 145 for Management, 15 for Law, one for Humanities, and two for Education.
The notice states that the nomination was made based on the subject and educational institution priority selected by the students at the time of application, as well as the general and reservation groups.
Nominated examinees can log in to entrance.kathmandu.gov.np and print their nomination letter using their roll number, date of birth, and the password received on their mobile or email. They must take the nomination letter and complete admission at the designated educational institution within Asar 1 and 2.
The notice states that students who do not complete admission within the prescribed deadline will not be allowed to make any claim for studying under scholarship at the nominated educational institution. The Metropolitan City has stated that, after confirming the vacant seats, it will publish a notice after Asar 3 regarding the third-phase nomination for examinees who passed the scholarship examination but were not nominated in the first and second phases.
