Full Scholarships at Pathibhara Campus
Chairperson Yukhangbir Hangam (Dambar) stated that the municipality has arranged a budget to fully cover the tuition fees of students from Meringden studying at Pathibhara Multiple Campus.
A total of NPR 1.2 million has been set aside to support this initiative in the upcoming year. The campus is the only institution in the district offering postgraduate-level education.
Additional Funding for Infrastructure
Alongside the scholarship plan, NPR 500,000 has been allocated to improve the campus infrastructure. The aim is to make the learning environment more accessible for enrolled students.
In the previous year, Ward No. 6 (Nalbu) had managed scholarships for 16 students from the ward pursuing bachelor’s studies.
NPR 1.7 Million Allocated for Scholarships and Campus Facilities
The municipality has earmarked NPR 1.7 million in total—covering both scholarships and the construction of a stage under infrastructure development.
Focus on Access to Higher Education
The budget was prepared to help residents who are financially struggling and unable to continue their education. The municipality emphasized that the support intends to promote inclusive access to higher education.
Currently, around 150 students from Meringden are enrolled at Pathibhara Multiple Campus, as per campus administration.
