MBBS Scholarship Selection Exam to Be Held on 3rd Jan 2026
The selection examination for the MBBS scholarship program, to be run in collaboration between the Non-Resident Nepali Association and Asian International University, will be held on 3rd January 2026 (Saturday).
Under this program, 2 Nepali students will be awarded full scholarships for a 6-year MBBS study. The examination will begin at 11:00 AM at the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk, Kathmandu.
The scholarship selection exam will be conducted through a question paper based on the curriculum of the Medical Education Commission. Admit cards have been sent to participating students via mobile and email. Late entry and the use of electronic devices are prohibited.
The Non-Resident Nepali Association, in collaboration with Asian International University, will provide full scholarships for a 6-year MBBS study to 2 Nepali students under this MBBS program with full scholarship support.
Considering the growing risk of patients losing their lives due to not receiving timely treatment because of a shortage of required human resources in Nepal’s health service sector, and the difficulty of providing effective health services particularly across primary health centers nationwide due to shortages of medicines, equipment, and skilled health workers, this 6-year full MBBS scholarship program for 2 Nepali students has been advanced.
This program is being implemented with a focus particularly on capable students who are financially disadvantaged and who have passed the Medical Education Commission examination.
After completing their studies, the 2 Nepali students who receive the scholarship will be required to return to Nepal and provide mandatory service in the health sector for a minimum of 2 years.
In addition, the university will bear all study expenses of the scholarship recipients, including food and accommodation. It is expected that this initiative will make an important contribution to expanding access to health services in Nepal and, in the long term, to reducing the shortage of health workers.
