Pokhara University MBA Scholarship Details Notice - 2020 August:

Detailed information on scholarships for the August 2020 session in postgraduate level MBA programs

(Detailed information about the scholarship related to the notice regarding admission in MBA programs published in Kantipur Rashtriya Dainik on Wednesday 2077-03-31)

Applications have been invited from the following qualified Nepali citizens for the following programs and free scholarships as per the following programs and educational institutions affiliated to Pokhara University (205 of the approved admission quota) and affiliated (105 of the approved admission quota). Out of the number of seats received, 60 percent is open and 40 percent is reserved for Dalit, Janajati, remote areas, disabled, martyrs, and people's movement injured and Madhesi community scholarships. 50 and 50 percent of seats have been reserved for women in both open and reserved scholarships.

Scholarship Quotas available as per the following free scholarships are available to the students who have passed SEE or SLC from Savarj Nick School in accordance with the Pokhara Univseristy Scholarship Rules, 2065. Only students who have passed SEE or SLC from the school and are included in the merit list of the Pokhara University Scholarship will be invited to apply for study in the remaining vacant quotas.

Thus, scholarships will be distributed on the basis of their merit list like an open scholarship in the scholarship seats available for the students who have passed SEE or SLC from institutional or private schools. The application fee for the scholarship is Rs. 1,000. , One thousand, in the name of Pokhara University Faculty of Management Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Ltd. Account no. 01700300212317000001 or NIC Asia Bank Limited to account no. 7341052343152401 and submit the application form along with the bank voucher. When submitting the application form, it can also be submitted online and all the prescribed documents have to be attached.

2. Scholarship programs available

2.1 Postgraduate level programs under the Faculty of Management

  1. Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  2. MBA-Global Business
  3. MBA-Finance

2.2 Information regarding scholarship quota

Program and Quota

  1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) - 29 Seats
  2. Master of Business Administration in Global Business (MBA Global Business) – 3 Seats
  3. Master of Business Administration in Finance (MBA Finance) – 6 Seats

Note: The above-mentioned quotas may also be increased.

3. Minimum qualifications required to be a candidate:

The following qualifications and conditions should be fulfilled for applying for the scholarship.

(A) The candidate should be a Nepali citizen.

(B) Only persons who have not passed the period of 3 years from the date of graduation from a recognized educational institution at the undergraduate level or similar may submit an application. Must have a bachelor's degree or a master's degree in MBA program.

(C) Must have passed at least second class at the undergraduate level or have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 (at least second class).

(D) Candidates applying for Remote Area Reservation Seats should have passed the entrance examination SLC / SEE by studying in a public and community and a Government of Nepal grant-aided school in the area mentioned by the Government of Nepal.

(E) For Dalit reservation seats, there should be castes as recommended by the National Dalit Commission or the concerned District Administration Office / Adivasi / Janajati Upliftment National Foundation for Janajatis or the concerned District Administration Office / Madhesi reservation seats as recommended by the concerned District Administration Office.

(F) Candidates applying for Local Scholarship shall be citizens residing permanently within the Pokhara Metropolitan Region and the recipient of this Scholarship should study at MBA of Pokhara University, Khudi, Angik School in Pokhara, School of Business. As per the decision of the university, the candidate who gets the highest marks among the candidates applying for this local scholarship will be selected for the local scholarship and in the case of other candidates will be included in the open scholarship as per the rules on the basis of their merit points.

(G) For teaching staff and children scholarship, it should be in accordance with the Scholarship Rules, 2065.

4. Documents required to be submitted by the candidate:

4.1 Candidates studying in Government Community Schools should submit the following self-certified copy documents along with the application:

(A) Certified copy of citizenship,

(B) a certified copy of the Certificate of Merit and Certificate of Character, having passed the SSE or SLC or SOSRA,

(C) Certificate of Certificate Level or Certificate of Ten Level Two Level or Certificate of Passing Examination and Certificate of Character Certificate

(D) A certified copy of the transcript and certificate of character after passing the bachelor's degree or so-called examination.

E) Certified copy provided by the disabled person as a disabled person from the National Federation of the Disabled or the concerned District Administration Office,

(F) a certified copy of Adivasi / Janajati provided by Adivasi / Janajati National Foundation or the concerned District Administration Office as Adivasi / Janajati,

(G) Certified copy provided by Dalit as Dalit caste from Dalit National Commission or concerned District Administration Office,

(H) A certified copy provided by a person belonging to the Madhesi community as a Madhesi caste from the concerned District Administration Office,

(I) A certified copy provided by the Ministry of Home Affairs or the concerned District Administration Office to the victim or the family of the martyr and the injured or their offspring.

4.2 Candidates studying in institutional or private schools should submit the following self-certified copy documents along with the application:

(A) Certified copy of citizenship,

(B) a certified copy of the Certificate of Merit and Character Certificate of having passed the SEE or SLC or SOSRA,

(C) Certificate of transcript and character certificate of passing the certificate level or ten plus-two level or a similar examination,

(D) Certified copy of transcript and certificate of a character passing the examination at the undergraduate level.

5. In addition to the above-mentioned documents, the following letter of recommendation should be submitted in the original documents:

Note: In case of filling up the application form online, it is mandatory to submit the original documents on time as demanded by the Scholarship Committee.

(A) Candidates applying for local scholarships should apply for permanent residence in Pokhara Metropolitan City From the office or from the concerned ward office.

(B) A school that has passed SEE or SLC is said to be a public school run by a grant from the Government of Nepal.
