Scholarships have been provided to 51 students from an endowment fund established in memory of parents.
At Araniko Secondary School in Nuwagaun, Rolpa, scholarships equivalent to 100,000 rupees were distributed to 51 students at a special programme.

At the programme, founders of the endowment fund, Jeevaraj Budha Magar and Amrit Bahadur Budha Magar, the school’s founding Principal Kulananda Giri, Chair of the School Management Committee, Kaviraj Budha, Principal Ganeshkumar Gharti Magar and others distributed the scholarships.
Establishment of the Indra-Mai-Dal Endowment Fund
Born in Triveni Rural Municipality–2, Nuwagaun, Rolpa, and currently residing in Texas, USA, Jeevaraj Budha Magar and his wife Yashika Bantha Magar, and originally from Nuwagaun, Rolpa, now residing in Ghorahi, Dang, Amrit Budha Magar and Deepa Budha Magar have established the Indra-Mai-Dal Endowment Fund of 501,151 rupees at Araniko Secondary School in Nuwagaun, where they studied.
The fund was created in memory of their parents, parents-in-law, and uncles and uncles-in-law.
Use of Interest to Support 51 Students
From the interest generated by this endowment fund, scholarships have been provided to 51 diligent and underprivileged students, and to students who secured excellent marks in the annual examinations from Classes 1 to 12 of the school.
School’s Appreciation for the Donors
Principal of the school, Ganesh Gharti Magar, expressed gratitude to the donors, stating that, through the Indra-Mai-Dal Endowment Fund, scholarships have been provided this year to 51 students, making an important contribution to the academic progress of the school and the bright future of the students.
He noted that the scholarships have provided motivation, encouragement and opportunities to the students, and expressed special thanks to the donor families for this initiative.
Background of the Donors
Among the endowment donors, Jeevaraj is a former journalist and human rights activist. Similarly, Amrit is the District Chair of CPN (UML) in Rolpa District.
