UGC Call for Applications and Proposals for Grants

University Grants Commission (UGC), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, Call for applications and proposals notice.

There is a program to provide grants, within the scope of the approved programs and budget of Fiscal Year 082/083, to community campuses that are operating under affiliation from various universities.

These grants are to support annual regular activities and the development of physical facilities.

Applications and separate proposals must be submitted to the Commission within the specified deadlines, in the format prescribed by the Commission’s Program Procedure, 2082.

Detailed information can be obtained from the Program Procedure, 2082 available on the Commission’s website: www.ugcnepal.edu.np.

Applications and proposals received after the deadline or not submitted in the prescribed manner will not be processed.

If it is proven that false information has been submitted, the application or proposal will be cancelled, and the concerned campus may be placed on a facilities-deprived list, making it ineligible for any future facilities from the Commission. The affiliating university will also be informed in writing for necessary action.

Main Basis for Grant Availability

• The Statistical Data Form-2082 must be compulsorily filled online at ugc.nitc.gov.np:81.

• The prescribed fee must be deposited in the bank.

• The application must be submitted within the specified deadline.

To receive the regular grant, the minimum number of students who appeared in the examinations conducted in the previous year by the affiliating university must be as follows:

• Himalayan districts: 50 students

• Hill districts: 75 students

• Inner Madhes districts: 100 students

• Terai districts: 125 students

• Within Kathmandu Valley: 150 students

Application and Proposal Submission Deadlines

• For Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces: 2081/08/28 within office hours

• For Koshi, Madhesh and Lumbini Provinces: 2081/09/01 within office hours

• For Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces: 2081/08/03 within office hours

Grant Title 2: Physical Facility Development Grant

Title of Grant: Physical Facility Development Grant (for building construction, books, furniture, equipment and infrastructure development for extra-curricular activities)

Main Basis for Grant Availability

Community campuses that:

• Have the student numbers as specified in the Program Procedure, 2082, and

• Have already completed two years of teaching and learning activities
