Mahendra Adarsha Vidyashram Secondary School was established in 1958 A.D. (2015 B.S) is located in Satdobato, Lalitpur -15 Lalitpur, Nepal as a community based educational institution. It is affiliated to the National Examination Board (NEB) and approved by the Ministry of Education. It offers educational programs from the Secondary level (Plus Two programs under Management, Education, and Humanities streams.

Mahendra Adarsha Vidyashram is a renowned higher secondary school with a glorious history of almost half a century. The institution has had the continued experience of collective efforts for the production of competent manpower through quality education since its establishment in 2053 B.S. The outstanding achievements of the alumnae of this institution at different levels of the nation prove dedication of the institute to enable its students for their bright career. It is neither a personal institution nor does it depend on the government for financial assistance. Although it is autonomous in the financial aspect, it is guided by the Education Act of the government.
In this institute, three different faculties Management, Humanities and Education of class XI and XII are running since 2059 B.S. and BBS since 2062 BS.
As MAV has always been able to produce capable and qualified students in its glorious history of Forty-six years, MAVHSS is also determined to produce competent, self-reliant, and disciplined manpower for the twenty-first century.
The school has conducted classes in management, education, and humanities streams in the morning. The management and humanities stream aims at fulfilling the needs of the 21st century and the education stream aims at producing trained teachers so as to enable the Ministry of Education and Sports to attain its goal of employing only trained teachers in the teaching profession.
