Bedkot Municipality Vacancy for Psychosocial Counselor and Volunteer

Bedkot Municipality, Office of Municipal Executive, Kanchanpur, Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal.

As per the bilateral agreement between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland, the Safer Migration (SaMi) program is being implemented. Under this program, to disseminate information about safe foreign employment, support and facilitate cases related to foreign employment, provide psychosocial counseling, and conduct awareness programs on safe migration, the following positions are required at Bedkot Municipality, Sisaiya, Kanchanpur. Applications are invited from eligible Nepali citizens for the positions listed below.

Positions

1. Psychosocial Counselor (Fifth Level)

• Number of Positions: 2

• Qualification:

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Public Health Nursing / Psychology / Sociology / Social Work from a recognized university

  • Or passed Bachelor's in Health Education.

  • Or Health Assistant or Staff Nurse from a recognized educational institution

  • Or Post Graduate Diploma in Counseling

  • Received six-month training in psychosocial counseling with a certificate from the National Health Training Center

  • Preference will be given to experienced candidates and women

  • Must have basic computer knowledge

  • Should be able to speak and prepare reports in both Nepali and English

2. Returnee Volunteer

• Number of Positions: 1

• Qualification:

  • Minimum Class 8 pass

  • Must have worked for at least one year in foreign employment (Gulf countries or Malaysia)

  • Preference will be given to those with experience in the field of safe foreign employment.

  • Note: Applicants for this position must be from the concerned local level

Additional Information

• Working Period: Until the end of Ashadh 2083, renewable based on program needs and performance evaluation

• Types of Examination:

  • For Psychosocial Counselor: Written, interview, and practical

  • For Returnee Volunteer: Written and interview

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old and not exceed 45 years on the final date of application

• Salary and Benefits: As per program rules
