Chandrapur Municipality Announces 9 Municipal Police Vacancies

Rautahat, Kartik 17: Chandrapur Municipality, Office of the Municipal Executive, Chandranigahapur, Rautahat, Madhesh Province, Nepal, has invited applications for the recruitment of municipal police personnel on a contract basis.

According to the notice first published on 2083/07/17 (Letter No. 083/084), signed by Chief Administrative Officer Badriraj Dhakal, the municipality will recruit a total of 9 municipal police personnel under 3 advertisements through an open competitive examination, based on its approved staffing positions.

Eligible and interested Nepali citizens must submit duly completed applications within 15 days of the notice's publication, during office hours. Applications received after the deadline or failing to meet the prescribed requirements will not be considered.

2. Minimum Eligibility and Physical Requirements

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Age Limit

Candidates must have completed 18 years of age but must not have completed 45 years of age by the final application date.

Required Service Experience

Applicants must have:

• Served for at least 3 years in the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, or Armed Police Force, Nepal; or

• Served for at least 5 years in the Indian Army or British Army.

Other Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Not have been convicted of any criminal offense.

• Not be members of any political party.

• Have obtained a medical fitness certificate from a government hospital.

• Not be disqualified from government service for any other reason.

Physical Standards for Male Candidates

• Minimum Height: 5 feet 2 inches

• Chest Measurement: 31 inches unexpanded and 33 inches expanded

• Minimum Weight: 50 kg

Physical Standards for Female Candidates

• Minimum Height: 5 feet

• Minimum Weight: 42 kg

Eyesight Requirements

• Eyesight must not be worse than minus 2 or plus 2.

• Candidates must not have color blindness.

3. Required Documents

Applicants must submit self-attested copies of the following documents:

1. Nepali citizenship certificate.

2. Transcript/marksheet and character certificate of the minimum educational qualification.

3. Character certificate issued by the relevant ward office or a police report.

4. Three recently taken passport-size photographs.

5. Documents verifying the required service experience under Section 2(b), including proof of service in the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal, Indian Army, or British Army.

4. Examination and Selection Process

The recruitment process will include the following stages:

1. Preliminary Medical Examination and Physical Fitness Test: Including running, push-ups, chin-ups, and other physical fitness activities.

2. Written Examination: Candidates will undergo a written examination.

3. Detailed Medical Examination and Interview: Candidates will undergo a detailed medical examination and interview.

Application Fee Exemption

Candidates who have already paid the revenue fee under a previously published municipal police recruitment notice will not be required to pay the fee again, provided they submit proof of their previous payment.

6. Inclusive Recruitment Provision and Service Benefits

The municipality has specified that at least 33% of the total positions to be filled will be allocated to female candidates.

Job descriptions, remuneration, and other service benefits will be determined in accordance with the Municipality Police Act, 2083, and the contract agreement.
