Foreign Employment Board Seeks 10 Volunteer Staff

The Secretariat of the Foreign Employment Board, Babarmhal, under the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment, has invited applications for 10 volunteer staff positions.

According to the notice published on 2083/05/03, the positions will be filled until the end of Ashadh 2084 in accordance with the approved annual budget and programme for the current fiscal year 2083/084.

The Secretariat has invited applications only from workers who have obtained labour approval and have died, become disabled or fallen ill during foreign employment, workers currently engaged in foreign employment or those who have returned, and members of their families.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Target Group: Applicants must be persons who have died or become disabled in connection with foreign employment, persons currently in foreign employment or those who have returned, or members of their families.

  • Age Limit: In the case of a worker’s family member, the applicant must have completed 18 years of age and must not exceed 35 years. For women, the age must not exceed 40 years, while returned migrant workers must not exceed 45 years of age.

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed at least the secondary level (Grade 12).

Application Details

  • Application Fee: Free of charge.

  • Service/Benefits: Rs. 25,000 per month will be provided.

  • Type of Examination: Shortlisting, computer skills test, and interview.

  • Application Deadline: Within office hours on the 7th (seventh) day from the date of publication of the notice.

  • Application Submission Method: Applications may be submitted in person at the Secretariat office in Babarmhal or by email at admin@feb.gov.np. Applicants submitting by email must mention “Volunteer Staff” in the Subject line.

  • Selection Process: Selection will be conducted in accordance with the criteria and Terms of Reference (TOR) published on the Secretariat’s website, www.feb.gov.np.

Required Documents

Copies of the documents submitted by applicants must be self-certified and signed with the statement, “The copy is true to the original.”

  • Application signed by the applicant.

  • Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate, National Identity Card, or passport.

  • Copy of the certificate of the minimum required educational qualification.

  • In the case of workers who have become disabled or fallen ill and their families, a document showing that compensation for the same was provided by the Foreign Employment Board.

  • In the case of families of workers who died during foreign employment, documents confirming the death, such as a death registration from a foreign hospital, a record showing receipt of death compensation from the Foreign Employment Board, or a death registration issued in Nepal.

  • Documents confirming that the family member or worker is currently in foreign employment or has returned from foreign employment, such as a photocopy of a passport bearing an immigration stamp, labour approval, or similar documents.

  • Government-issued documents establishing the applicant’s relationship with the worker, such as a marriage registration, birth registration, citizenship certificate, relationship verification document, or any other document establishing the relationship.
