Minimum Required Qualifications

For Secondary Level, Third Category
a. Must have completed 21 years of age and not exceeded 40 years.
b. Must have passed at least a bachelor’s level in the relevant subject.
c. Must have obtained a secondary level teaching licence. -
For Lower Secondary, Third Category
a. Must have completed 18 years of age and not exceeded 40 years.
b. Must have passed at least a Proficiency Certificate Level or equivalent in the relevant subject.
c. Must have received training.
d. Must have obtained a permanent teaching licence. -
For Primary Level, Third Category
a. Must have completed 18 years of age and not exceeded 40 years.
b. Must have passed a Proficiency Certificate Level or equivalent.
c. Must have received training.
d. Must have obtained a permanent teaching licence.
Required Documents and Other Information
a. Certified copies of the Nepali citizenship certificate and the certificates of the required academic qualifications.
b. Certified copy of the teaching licence.
c. Two copies of passport-size photographs.
d. Application fee: For Secondary Level, Third Category: Rs. 1,000; for Lower Secondary, Third Category: Rs. 700; and for Primary Level: Rs. 500.
e. Type of examination: Written, interview and practical.
f. Curriculum: As prescribed by the Teachers Service Commission.
g. Additional details regarding the examination will be published later.
h. Interested candidates must obtain the form and the receipt of the prescribed fee paid at the Revenue Branch of Ilam Municipality, self-certify the required documents, compile them into a file and submit them to the Education, Youth and Sports Section within the specified time.
i. For the primary level in Ilam District, if applications are received by 2082/08/17 from persons listed in the most recently published contract list of the Teachers Service Commission, they will be directly recommended for contract appointment in accordance with the rules.
