Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City Seeks Employees for SaMi Program
Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City, Office of the Municipal Executive, has invited applications for employee recruitment on contract service under the Safer Migration (SaMi) Program. The Sub-Metropolitan City published a notice on 2083 Asar 25, requesting applications from qualified and interested Nepali citizens within 15 days for the posts of Psychosocial Counselor and Returnee Volunteer.
The notice states that the required human resources are being sought to provide various awareness and counseling services to make the process safer, more organized, dignified, and productive for people who are going for foreign employment, are currently abroad for foreign employment, or have returned from foreign employment.
Requested Posts, Numbers, and Minimum Qualifications
1. Psychosocial Counselor Advertisement No. 10/2082/83
Number of Vacant Posts: 1
Minimum Qualification: Passed Health Assistant or Staff Nurse from a recognized educational institution, or Bachelor’s level in Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work from a recognized university, or B.Ed. Health Education, or Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling.
Training Provision: In the case of candidates who received training before the psychosocial counseling training module 2077 approved by the National Health Training Center was issued, they must have received at least six months of training.
Priority: Priority will be given to candidates who have passed at least 10+2 or Proficiency Certificate Level, have two years of experience in psychosocial counseling, and have worked in the field of safe foreign employment. In addition, special priority will be given to women and to candidates who have received psychosocial counseling training and have experience in the field of foreign employment.
2. Returnee Volunteer Advertisement No. 11/2082/83
Number of Vacant Posts: 2
Minimum Qualification and Experience: Must have passed Grade 10, gone to Malaysia or a Gulf country for foreign employment, worked there for at least two years, and returned.
Skills: Must have knowledge of social mobilization, coordination, and facilitation.
Work Period, Salary, and Other Facilities
Work Period: The work period will remain until the end of Asar 2084. However, it may be renewed on the basis of need and performance.
Salary and Facilities: For the Psychosocial Counselor, the salary and facilities will be equivalent to Assistant Fifth Level. For others, they will be as per the office agreement or rules.
Examination, Fee, and Age Limit
Type of Examination: Selection will be made through written, practical, and interview examinations.
Examination Date: To be published later.
Application Fee: Rs. 1,000 for Psychosocial Counselor and Rs. 500 for Returnee Volunteer.
Age: Completed 18 years and not exceeding 45 years.
Selection Process: Only candidates shortlisted in the preliminary selection will be included in the examination process, and an inclusive recruitment process will be adopted.
Documents to Be Submitted
For Psychosocial Counselor: Application letter clearly mentioning the post, application form, personal biodata, copy of Nepali citizenship certificate, copy of educational certificate, copy of work experience, copy of training certificate, and self-attested copies of other documents related to the service.
For Returnee Volunteer: Application letter clearly mentioning the post, application form, copy of proof showing Departure and Arrival stamps in the passport, copy of proof of labor approval, copy of educational certificate, copy of citizenship certificate, copy of proof of training and work experience, and self-attested copies of other documents related to the service.
Application Process and Deadline
Interested candidates must submit their applications at the Administration Section during office hours within 15 days from the date of publication of the notice, along with the required details and the receipt of revenue payment. If the last day for submitting the application falls on a public holiday, the application may be submitted within office hours on the next day the office opens.
