Notice to Fill General Manager Post (Herb Company)

Government of Nepal, Ministry of Forests and Environment, Selection Committee formed for the appointment of a General Manager, Herb Production and Processing Company Limited, Notice regarding filling the post.

As the vacant post of General Manager at Herb Production and Processing Company Limited under the Ministry of Forests and Environment is to be filled through an open competitive process, this notice was first published on 2082-05-12 for interested Nepali citizens who meet the qualifications and experience mentioned below.

However, before the application period could be completed, the process was suspended due to adverse circumstances that arose unexpectedly. Therefore, this notice has been published for the second time.

All concerned are hereby informed that a sealed application must be submitted during office hours to the Administration Division of the Ministry, Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, within 7 (seven) days from the date of publication of this notice (if the final day falls on a public holiday, then on the next day).

No action will be taken on applications that are not received within the specified date and time or that are incomplete. It is also informed that applications received in accordance with the notice published for the first time will also be accepted.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum qualification and experience: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Forestry Science, Natural Resource Management, Agricultural Science, Sociology, Management, Botany, or Economics, along with at least 10 (ten) years of experience in the relevant field.

Age: Must have completed 30 (thirty) years of age.

Application Submission and Selection Process

1. Applications must be submitted by attaching the documents required under Clause 3 of the “Procedure to be adopted while selecting for appointment and nomination of office bearers, executive chiefs and members of public bodies related to the Ministry of Forests and Environment, 2075,” published on the Ministry of Forests and Environment website: www.mofe.gov.np. The application form must be filled as per the Schedule of the same procedure and submitted accordingly.

2. On the day of the interview, the candidate must be present with all original certificates.

3. A business operational plan for the operation of Herb Production and Processing Company Limited must be submitted in a sealed envelope, up to a maximum of 15 (fifteen) pages (hard copy and soft copy separately). The business operational plan must also include a strategic plan to expand (upscaling) the company.

4. While submitting the application form, the original voucher of payment of the examination fee must be attached after depositing Rs. 3,000 in the following details:

   • Amount: Rs. 3,000

5. Detailed provisions regarding the presentation of the business operational plan and the candidate selection process shall be as mentioned in the “Standards for appointment and nomination of office bearers and members of public bodies related to the Ministry of Forests and Environment, 2073” and the “Procedure to be adopted while selecting for appointment and nomination of office bearers, executive chiefs and members of public bodies related to the Ministry of Forests and Environment, 2075,” published on the Ministry website: www.mofe.gov.np.

6. The Selection and Recommendation Committee may cancel applications received under this notice at any time, with or without stating any reason.

7. If false details or documents are submitted, the application will be cancelled and action will be taken in accordance with prevailing law.
