Official Notice on Recruitment of Myadi Police
Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs, Nepal Police Headquarters (Human Resource Development Department, Recruitment Selection Section), Naxal, Kathmandu, announces official notice regarding Election Police (Myadi Prahari)
As election police must be recruited in accordance with the approved “Integrated Procedure on Recruitment Selection, Appointment and Mobilization of Election Police (Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, Nepal) Procedure-2082” for the election of members of the House of Representatives, applications are invited from eligible Nepali citizens who meet the qualifications below and submit the application in person.

Age Limit
Age Requirement: By the final date of application registration, the applicant must have completed 18 years and must not be over 54 years.
Date of Birth Range: From 2028/10/01 to 2064/10/01

Citizenship: Nepali citizen

Literacy: Able to read and write at a basic level

Criminal Record: Must not have been convicted by a court in any criminal offense involving moral turpitude

Political Affiliation: Must not be a member of any political party at the time of recruitment

Health: Physically and mentally fit

Prohibited Affiliations: Must not be a member of any terrorist or destructive organization

Physical Standards:

For males: Minimum height 5 feet, chest 31–33 inches, weight 50 kg

For females: Minimum height 4 feet 10 inches, weight 42 kg

Selection Priority Basis
-
Retired former security personnel or former forest guards receiving pension or gratuity from service in the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, or Armed Police Force, Nepal

Applicants who applied for recruitment to various posts in the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, or Armed Police Force, Nepal from 2081 Magh 1 to the end of 2082 Poush, and who passed physical fitness and medical tests, and submit the admit card

Individuals who were recruited as temporary police (Myadi Police) in previous House of Representatives, Provincial Assembly, and local level elections and performed satisfactorily

Nepali citizens who worked in the security agencies of foreign friendly nations and retired

Duration of Service
(a) A total of forty (40) days from the date of appointment, or as determined by the Government of Nepal
(b) If the Government of Nepal changes the duration based on the election period, it will be as revised accordingly
Terms of Services and Facilities
(a) Daily remuneration equivalent to the starting salary scale of a Nepal Police constable: NPR 869.40 per election police per day. For up to forty days, the amount will be NPR 34,776.
(b) Food allowance for forty days will be provided to each election police at the rate applicable to Nepal Police of the concerned district, and will be deposited into the individual bank account.
(c) A one-time lump-sum preparation expense of NPR 846 will be provided to each election police for travel preparation to and from the assigned location.
(d) Snack allowance will be provided at NPR 300 per day for four (4) days, as a lump sum of NPR 1,200.
(e) Uniform allowance will be provided based on the rate determined by Nepal Police Headquarters.
(f) All payments for services and facilities will be deposited into the individual bank account.
(g) If an election police is injured in the course of duty, the individual (and in case of death, the nearest legal heir) will receive compensation as determined by the Government of Nepal.
(h) If an election police remains absent before the specified period or absconds without completing responsibilities, no payment under any facility will be provided.
(i) If, due to a reasonable cause, an election police must leave before the contract period, and has worked for twenty (20) days or more, the individual will receive facilities up to the days worked.
(j) If the election is postponed or cancelled while the appointment process is ongoing, or even after appointment, such appointment will automatically be cancelled.
(k) Other facilities will be as provided in the “Integrated Procedure on Recruitment Selection, Appointment and Mobilization of Election Police (Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, Nepal) Procedure-2082”.
