Applications Invited for Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Investment Board

Kathmandu — The Government of Nepal, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, has invited applications for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Investment Board. The Secretariat of the Recommendation Committee of the Board published a notice on 29 Jestha 2083, inviting applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens.

The application has been opened to recommend candidates to the government in accordance with the provisions of the Public–Private Partnership and Investment Act, 2075, and the Procedure Relating to Recommendation for Appointment of the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board, 2083.

The qualifications, conditions, and required documents mentioned in the notice are as follows:

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

Citizenship: Must be a Nepali citizen.

Academic qualification: Must have passed at least a master’s degree from a recognized educational institution in economics, management, commerce, law, engineering, or a development-related subject.

Experience: Must have at least 10 years of managerial-level experience in the field of project development, public procurement, public–private partnership, investment promotion, development administration, banking, financial sector, or industrial management.

Age: Must have completed 35 years and must not have exceeded 65 years of age by the final date for submitting the application.

Not disqualified: Must have made a self-declaration as per Schedule 2 of the procedure, stating that the candidate is not disqualified under prevailing law.

Condition related to permanent residential permit (PR): If the candidate has obtained a permanent residential permit of a foreign country, evidence or a self-declaration must be submitted showing that such permit was renounced at least three months before submitting the application.

Documents to Be Attached with the Application

Interested applicants must attach self-attested copies of the following documents:

Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate

Personal details (Bio-Data) showing qualification, experience, and contact address

Copies of academic qualification certificates; if the academic degree was obtained from a foreign educational institution, an equivalence certificate must be submitted

Copy of evidence showing experience

Two copies of recently taken passport-size photographs

Strategy and action plan prepared by including the following subjects:

Analysis of the investment situation and potential in Nepal

Analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges of the Investment Board (SWOT Analysis)

Outline of the strategic plan for investment promotion

Application Deadline and Place

Deadline: Within 15 days from the date of publication of the notice (2083/2/29). If the final day falls on a public holiday, the application may be submitted within office hours on the first working day after the holiday.

Place to submit application: Secretariat of the Recommendation Committee, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Social and Physical Infrastructure Development Branch, Singha Durbar.

The procedure related to the selection by the Candidate Recommendation Committee and the bases of evaluation can be obtained from the website of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (www.opmcm.gov.np) and the website of the Investment Board Office (https://ibn.gov.np).
