
NTB and UNDP Nepal Job Vacancy Announcement
The Sustainable Tourism Project (STP) – a collaborative initiative between the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Nepal – aims to enhance local livelihoods by improving tourism facilities and services along three priority trekking trails, while promoting inclusive employment and enterprise opportunities for women, youth, and marginalized groups, and increasing both domestic and international tourist inflow through policy advocacy, digital innovation, strategic branding, targeted marketing, and media outreach.
The project intervention is expected to upgrade three priority trekking trails and enhance the basic facilities of the trekking trails and associated services, promote emerging destinations, build local capacities, and digitize tourism services. Project particularly focusing on creating tourism-based employment opportunities for poor, vulnerable, and marginalized groups including women, youth, LGBTIQ people, and persons with disabilities, capacity development of the tourism sector workforce, standardization of tourism services, adoption of digitization, and promotion of Nepal’s tourism sector.
