AFU Invites Online Applications for BSc Agriculture, BVSc & AH, BSc Fisheries and BSc Forestry Entrance Exam

Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal, has published a notice regarding online applications for the common entrance examination for student admission to B. Sc. Ag., B. V. Sc. & A. H., B. Sc. Fisheries, and B. Sc. Forestry programs.
For the academic session 2083/084, interested Nepali and foreign students who meet the prescribed minimum educational qualifications for undergraduate programs offered by the University's faculties, constituent colleges, and affiliated colleges may submit online applications for the common entrance examination from Thursday, 2083/04/21.
Undergraduate Programs Open for Application
A. Faculty of Agriculture, Rampur, and Its Constituent and Affiliated Colleges
B. Faculty of Animal Science, Veterinary Science and Fisheries, Rampur

C. Faculty of Forestry, Hetauda, and Its Constituent and Affiliated Colleges
A single online application form and one common entrance examination will be conducted for all the above programs. Student admission will be based on merit.

The examination center selected by an applicant will not be changed. A separate notice regarding examination centers will be published later.
2. Minimum Educational Qualifications for Application
The minimum educational qualifications for undergraduate entrance examination applications under all faculties have been prescribed as follows:

Note: For the B. V. Sc. & A. H. program, candidates under the second educational qualification category must have at least C+ Grade (2.40 CGPA) or 50% marks.
3. Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 3,000/- (three thousand only).
The fee must be paid through e-payment while completing the online application form.
4. Procedure for Completing the Online Application and Obtaining the Admit Card
Applicants must register through the University's Online Application Portal:
https://admission.afu.edu.np
Applicants must enter all required information and upload the required documents.
No action will be taken on online applications that are not properly and completely filled out. Applications will be cancelled if the required documents or information are found to be false or insufficient.
Documents to Be Uploaded
Applicants must upload scanned copies/e-copies of the following documents in the prescribed order:

Recent passport-size photograph and applicant's signature.

Nepali citizenship certificate. Nepali citizens who do not have a citizenship certificate may submit a National Identity Card or birth registration certificate.

Grade sheet and certificate of SEE/SLC or equivalent examination.

Transcript or equivalent grade sheet and certificate of Certificate Level/10+2.

Equivalence certificate, only for qualifications obtained from foreign educational institutions.

Relevant certificate or recommendation letter if applying under a quota.
Applications and documents submitted through any method other than the Online Application Portal will not be processed.
The entrance examination fee will not be refunded if an application is cancelled because of insufficient documents, incomplete information, or duplicate applications.
After the application has been approved, applicants must log in to https://admission.afu.edu.np from 9:00 AM on Friday, Bhadra 19, 2083, download the admit card from the Admit Card Menu, and print it in color.
Candidates must bring the admit card and the original of one of the following documents when appearing for the entrance examination:

5. Entrance Examination, Question Paper, and Basis for Admission
The entrance examination will contain 120 objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based on the Certificate Level/10+2 or equivalent curriculum.
Examination duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

The entrance examination score will carry 100% weight for preparing and publishing the Merit List for admission.
If two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the entrance examination, merit will be determined sequentially on the basis of:

Additional Provisions Related to Admission Seats

Admission of foreign students will be conducted according to the Agriculture and Forestry University's Foreign Student Admission Procedure 2083.

The University will conduct the 5-year B. V. Sc. & A. H. program and the 4-year B. Sc. Ag., B. Sc. Forestry, and B. Sc. Fisheries programs according to their respective academic calendars.

For admission to B. V. Sc. & A. H., applicants will be admitted according to entrance examination merit under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Nepal, Department of Livestock Services. If seats under that quota or any other quota remain vacant, they will be included under the UDF quota.

Persons nominated under an MoU between the University and the Government of Nepal, Nepal Agricultural Research Council, or other organizations for B. Sc. Ag. under the Faculty of Agriculture and B. Sc. Fisheries under the Faculty of Animal Science, Veterinary Science and Fisheries are not included in the quotas stated above.

For the Faculty of Forestry, admission of persons nominated by the Government of Nepal will be conducted according to the MoU.

If students are not admitted under any quota, vacant seats will be included under FDF for B. V. Sc. & A. H. and under the respective faculty or college UDF/CDF quota for other programs.
Reserved Quota Requirements
Except for the female quota, applicants seeking admission under any reserved quota must submit the certificate or recommendation letter issued by the concerned authority at the time of completing the online application. Otherwise, the claim will not be processed.
For provincial quotas, applicants must have passed SEE from a fully government-funded community secondary school and must submit a recommendation letter from the Metropolitan City, Sub-Metropolitan City, Municipality, or Rural Municipality confirming that the school is fully government-funded.
For admission under a provincial quota:

The applicant's permanent address and the community school attended must be within the same province.
For admission under the backward-area quota:

The applicant's permanent address and community school must be within the concerned backward area.
If applicants from community schools are unavailable or insufficient for provincial or backward-area quotas, applicants from private schools will be included.

If there is no applicant from the concerned local level for the local quota, a permanent resident of the district where the faculty or college is located will be admitted under this quota.
Other Seat-Related Provisions

If student enrollment in any college is less than 50% of its prescribed seat capacity, those students will be transferred to other constituent colleges for study on the basis of merit determined by the faculty.

Admission seat numbers for affiliated private colleges are not included in this notice. Information regarding those seats will be provided through a separate notice.
7. Administration of the Entrance Examination and Admission Process
All activities related to online applications, conduct of the entrance examination, and student admission will be managed by the Common Entrance Examination Management Committee.
