
TU IOST B.Tech. Food Technology Admission Notice 2082
Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology (IOST), Dean's Office, Kirtipur - As per the semester examination system, an urgent notice regarding the admission of new students for the four-year undergraduate level B. Tech. (Food Technology) program for the year 2082 has been published.
The program will be conducted under the semester system and grading method at constituent campuses and affiliated colleges under Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology.
Interested students seeking admission to the eight-semester undergraduate B.Tech. (Food Technology) program in the science stream for the year 2082 are informed of the following admission schedule. Applications must be submitted online only.
Minimum Qualifications for Application
(A) Must have passed 10+2 (Science) or equivalent from a recognized educational institution or proficiency certificate level in Food/Laboratory Technology or I.Sc. or equivalent examination with 100 full marks in Chemistry and Mathematics with at least second division or Final Grade C, and passed English subject with 100 full marks. Must have passed other subjects with at least GPA 1.6.
(B) Must have passed a three-year diploma from CTEVT in English, Chemistry, and Mathematics with 100 full marks each and at least second division.
(C) For A Level students, must have studied English, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects with 100 full marks each and passed each subject with at least a D grade (with or without small letter).
(D) For educational qualifications obtained from foreign educational institutions or universities, documents of equivalency must be submitted from Curriculum Development Centre, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.
Application Process – Completely Online
(A) The entrance examination form available on the IOST website: https://iost.tu.edu.np must be filled and submitted online by the applicants themselves through the same website.
(B) The online form will be available from 2082.04.20 (Tuesday) to 2082.05.19 (Thursday). Applicants are informed to fill out the form at any time within this period. After the deadline, the online form will automatically close.
(C) The form can be filled at any time during the mentioned dates from any location with internet access.
(D) The entrance exam fee of NPR 1650 (in words: one thousand six hundred fifty only) must be paid through any branch of Global IME Bank Ltd. within Nepal using the bank voucher in the name of the Institute of Science and Technology to be deposited in the account at Global IME Bank Ltd., Kirtipur Branch.
The fee can also be paid through the online platform available in the admission portal using the app or link provided on the IoST webpage. While filling out the online form, the bank voucher number or transaction ID number must be mandatorily entered. The entrance exam fee will not be refunded.
(E) While filling the form, applicants must strictly follow the instructions available online and submit the form with all required documents.
Applicants must prepare the necessary documents such as transcript, mark sheet, equivalency certificate, signature (in black ink), and MRP standard photo before filling the form. Forms with blurry or unreadable documents will not be approved.
(F) After submitting the entrance exam form online, the acknowledgment page that appears immediately must be printed.
(G) Admit cards will be provided in phases through the online medium a few days before the entrance examination. The admit card must be downloaded and color printed.
To participate in the exam, the candidate must go to the specified district/center with the admit card. Along with the admit card, a photo ID that proves identity (such as citizenship certificate, driving license, or admit card of the latest academic level) must also be brought.

Details Regarding Entrance Examination
(A) The Entrance exam will carry 100 full marks. Based on the curriculum of I.Sc./Grade 11 and 12 or equivalent, the following Objective/Multiple Choice questions will be asked. There will be no negative marking.

(B) Duration of the entrance exam: 2 hours
(C) A minimum of 35 percent marks must be obtained to pass the entrance exam.
(D) If multiple candidates score equal marks, the merit list (placement) will be prepared based on Chemistry marks. If still tied, then Mathematics, Physics, and Language Aptitude (English) marks will be considered in order. If marks are still equal, lower academic level scores will be used. Marks from these bases will not be published.

After the result is published, each candidate must download their own score sheet and contact the desired college for admission.
Special Provision at Central Campus of Technology, Dharan

Inclusive Quota
Campuses/colleges must admit students under inclusive quota based on the “Tribhuvan University Constituent Campuses Reservation Admission Regulation, 2074”.
Scholarship
Campuses must provide scholarships according to the “Tribhuvan University Institute of Science and Technology Scholarship Procedure 2079”.
Academic programs will be conducted as per the Semester System Operation Procedure 2074.
