Master of Public Policy and Management (MPPM) is an innovative graduate program with curriculum incorporating a wide range of public policy and public affairs-related subjects aimed at enabling academia and professionals to formulate better public policies, effectively implement them and enhance the skills of public sector management. The program is generally designed for mid-career professionals seeking to acquire and enhance their theoretical and practical understanding with critical and holistic approaches to analyze complex public policy and governance issues.
Eligibility:
- Nepali or non-Nepali national with at least a Bachelor's Degree of at least three years duration in any discipline with a minimum 45 percent in aggregate or CGPA 2.0 on a scale of 4; OR
- Master's degree in any discipline with 40 percent in aggregate or CGPA 2.0 on a scale of 4; OR
- Bachelor's Degree of at least two-year duration in any discipline with six-year of work experience with a minimum of 40 percent in aggregate or CGPA 0 on a scale of 4 from a university recognized by Kathmandu University;
Government Scholarship on tuition fees is available for 15 (fifteen) successful candidates employed by the Government from the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA/GoN). The government candidates will be selected on a merit basis as per the KUSOM admission criteria. The MoFAGA will also communicate about the opportunity through the appropriate channels.
And, the remaining 15 candidates will be selected on a merit and open competition basis (open to all)
Financial aid: KU provides limited financial assistance to needy and deserving students including international students.
KU respects diversity and inclusion and encourages persons of the disadvantaged community from caste, ethnicity, gender, and geography (provinces) to apply. All applicants are required to sit for an Admission Test.
