Instruction to Fill Self Appraisal Form for Undergraduate Programs

The Medical Education Commission, Mapadanda tatha Pratyayan Nirdeshanalaya, has directed teaching institutions that will operate various disciplines of medical education programs at the undergraduate level in academic session 2083/84 to fill the Self Appraisal form. The Commission has informed universities, constituent and affiliated colleges and institutes to fill the online form within the specified time limit and to pay the teaching institution monitoring fee.
According to the Commission’s notice, the concerned teaching institutions must fill the online form through the Commission’s website from 2082.11.01 to 2082.11.25. While filling the form, last year’s details must be updated, and in the case of a new institution, it must contact the Nirdeshanalaya or the Suchana Prabidhi Shakha to obtain a User ID. The Commission has clearly stated that institutions that do not fill the Self Appraisal form and do not pay the fee as specified will not be monitored, and seat determination will also not be done.

Also, the notice signed by Upasachiv Rudraprasad Regmi states that, before filling the Self Appraisal, all details that must be filled in the MEMIS software must also be updated.

The period for filling the online form is from 2082.11.01 to 2082.11.25.

A monitoring fee of 2 lakh has been set for MBBS and BDS, and 1 lakh for Nursing and Midwifery.

For subjects that were not operated in the previous year but are requested this year, the university consent letter must be mandatorily uploaded.

While filling faculty details, the appointment letter, council registration, and, in the case of foreigners, registration renewal must be mandatorily uploaded.

Seat determination will not be done for institutions that do not fill details or do not pay the fee.

Within the electronic service portal on the Commission’s website www.mec.gov.np, there is a Self Appraisal link. Click that link and log in using your institution’s existing User ID and Password. Thereafter, fill in the actual details of your institution as requested there. In that process, the details filled last year must be updated. Teaching institutions that do not have last year’s User ID must contact the Mapadanda tatha Pratyayan Nirdeshanalaya and the Commission’s Suchana Prabidhi Shakha.

While paying the monitoring fee, all fees that must be paid program-wise must be paid in a lump sum through a single voucher, and the original voucher must be scanned and uploaded.

Teaching institutions that do not fill the Self Appraisal form and do not pay the fee as specified will not be monitored, and seat determination will also not be done.

For subjects and programs that were not operated in the previous year but are requested to be operated from this year, the university consent letter must be mandatorily uploaded at the place called Approved Letter. For this purpose, in the case of an institute, the decision of the institute’s board/executive council must be uploaded. Seat determination will not be done for subjects without the consent of the concerned university/institute.

While filling faculty details, complete details of all faculty must be filled. A letter of post verification from the university/institute, the subject-wise council registration number, and the appointment letter must be mandatorily uploaded. In the case of foreign faculty, proof of renewal of registration of the concerned council must be mandatorily uploaded.

As it has been seen that in the past some teaching institutions did not fill full details of Self Appraisal and used to upload a seat claim letter, all details in Self Appraisal must be mandatorily filled without repeating that.

Before filling Self Appraisal, all details that must be filled in the MEMIS software must also be updated.
As it was found that in the past some teaching institutions uploaded only a seat claim letter without filling full details, the Commission has cautioned that this time all details in Self Appraisal must be mandatorily filled.
