St. Xavier's College Class 11 Admission 2026
St. Xavier's College, Maitighar, Kathmandu, Class 11 Science - Admission 2026 (2083 BS) - Grade 11 admissions will be based solely on SEE GPA shortlisting and interviews. No written test will be conducted.
Step-by-Step Information
Candidates may apply for only one group, either Biology or Computer Science, and the selected group cannot be changed under any circumstances.

1. Application:

Application forms can be filled and submitted online only from our website: www.neb.sxc.edu.np.

All the information required must be filled properly and required documents uploaded in the application form.

Applicants must provide a valid and active email address in the application form.
-
A non-refundable form fee of NPR 125 must be paid online via Khalti or eSewa.
-
Students must submit their original SEE (or equivalent) mark sheet. If unavailable, an online copy must be verified with the school's official stamp and principal's signature.

Incorrect information or documents will lead to disqualification and loss of admission rights.
2. Eligibility and Merit:

Admission is totally merit based. The GPA / CGPA / percentage secured in the SEE or equivalent Examination will be used as the basis for shortlisting.

All students fulfilling the criteria of CDC / NEB are eligible to fill up the admission form for shortlisting.

Candidates may apply for only one group: Biology or Computer Science. The group once chosen cannot be changed in any case. Subject combination details can be viewed in the college website.
3. Available Seats:

Computer Science Group: 150 Candidates

Biology Group: 300 Candidates

Scholarship Seats: 50 candidates, (Only candidates selected and referred by the Education Department, Kathmandu Metropolitan City are eligible for these scholarship seats.)
4. Short Listing of the Candidates:

NO ENTRANCE TEST will be conducted.

Shortlisting and selection will be strictly MERIT-BASED.

The GPA/CGPA or percentage obtained by the candidate in the SEE or equivalent examination will be the sole criterion for shortlisting, selection and admission.
5. Ascertaining the Rank (Tie-Breaking) for Equal GPA:
-
While shortlisting for the interview, if two or more candidates have the same GPA/CGPA or percentage, the rank will be determined by comparing grades in the following order:
A: For NEB Students:

Mention the overall GPA on a 10-point scale or convert the final percentage into a GPA on a 4-point scale. The percentage can/will be converted into the NEB grading system and GPA according to the following criteria.

In the case of candidates having the same GPA, the ranking will be determined by comparing their grades in the following order:

6. Publishing the Short List:

The shortlist is published on the college website within 3 days of the application submission deadline.

Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview along with their parent/s or responsible guardian.

The interview schedule will also be published on the college website along with the short list.
7. Interview:
A. Candidates must report to the college with their parent/s or a responsible guardian for the interview on the day, time and shift as mentioned in the schedule.
B. No additional arrangements will be made for late comers or the ones who miss the allotted shift.

Students must submit the original SEE (or equivalent) mark sheet. If the original is unavailable, they must provide an online copy verified with the school’s official stamp and the principal’s signature.

Equivalence Certificate (For Foreign Board Candidates)

Character Certificate (if available)

The INTERVIEW will focus on the subjective knowledge, learning aptitude and attitude and prior knowledge and readiness to adjust to Xaverian discipline and culture. Besides, it will also consider the care, concern and vision of the parent/s.
8. Admission

After the interview, a final admission list of the successful candidates will be published on the college website and admission time will be clearly stated.

The rank obtained by the candidate in the interview will not be published in the admission list.
(There will be only three categories in the final list: SELECTED, NOT SELECTED and WAITINGT LIST)

Two days are allotted for admission after the publication of the final admission list.

Admission can be made by paying the amount online and depositing the hardcopy of the payment voucher at the college, or by depositing the amount in cash at the bank counter at the college premises.

The candidates in waiting list will be contacted (on priority basis) by the college if the available seats are not fulfilled.
9. Statutory Provision:

The admission of the student will be automatically cancelled if the SEE Grade Sheet or Character Certificate is found fake or forged.
-
Fees once paid will not be refunded.
-
The final decision regarding all applicants is left to the College Admission Committee 2083.
10. Other Provisions:
-
All rights regarding the admission process are reserved to the Admission Committee 2083. Any kind of untoward influence regarding admission from the applicant's side will result in the disqualification of the candidate.

St. Xavier's College does not have a parking facility for applicants.
Candidates are requested to use public transport or use pick-and-drop arrangements.
