Food is a topic where everyone is interested. The special thing is that there is no recession period in this area. This is the reason why the interest of the youth is increasing now, so food technology is emerging as an attractive career for the youth of today. There is no shortage of possibilities in this area.

Nowadays, Food technology is emerging as an attractive career. But according to the demand of the industry, it is still difficult to meet the demands of trained personnel. There are vast employment opportunities in the coming time. 

There are many such areas in the country, which are progressing day and night quadrupling. Also, there is no harm in providing employment. As the industry is developing, the demands of field-specific professionals are also increasing rapidly. One of these is also a field of food technology. This area has expanded rapidly due to changes in people's lifestyle and interest in eating food.

Fast food culture is also growing rapidly and the market of pizza etc. is also catching up. Today the situation is that supply is not being supplied as per the demand. What is food technology?

Food technology is a branch wherein work of production, storage, testing, packaging and distribution of any food product is carried out. Under this, all types of food items such as meats, fruits, vegetables, fish, cereals, eggs, milk etc. are included. The first task of any food technologist is to investigate raw materials, maintain a quality of food items, test food, and examine nutrition value. They invent many types of techniques to protect food processing, protect and spoil them. Apart from this, they have to develop new ideas while understanding the current trends and techniques of consumers.

Qualification Required for Food Technology:

If you want to make a career in the field of food technology, at least 50 percent marks are required in 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and biology or mathematics subjects. To pursue an MSc course, a bachelor's degree is also required in the subjects related to food technology.

Work of food technologist:

Under the Food Processing Sector, all those tasks include the quality, taste, and appearance of processed foods such as butter, soft drinks, jam and jelly, fruit juices, biscuits, ice cream etc. Apart from this, also monitors the quality of raw and finished goods, storage and hygiene etc. That is very important for the company. The company needs at its every level until the raw material to production is ready.

This area is divided into two parts:

Manufacture Processes: Through this process, changes in the physical form of raw agricultural products and meat products etc. are brought. This creates this product as food and salable. Various such changes are made in raw food products through value-added processes. By which they are safe for a long time and they become worthwhile. For example, products like tomato sauce and milk-made ice cream can be seen.
