Basanta Multiple Campus was established in 2066 BS (2009 AD) in Basantapur, Laligurans Municipality–2, Tehrathum, with one simple goal: to bring higher education closer to the people who need it most. This campus offers undergraduate programs such as Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS).
The campus is affiliated with Tribhuvan University and is officially recognized by Nepal’s University Grants Commission (UGC). From the very beginning, it has focused on creating access to education for students from rural, marginalized, and economically challenged backgrounds. Basanta Multiple Campus currently offers two bachelor’s degree programs under Tribhuvan University: one in Business and the other in Education. Both are designed with the realities of rural life in mind—flexible, practical, and community-rooted.
The BBS program falls under TU’s Faculty of Management. Students cover core business subjects in the first three years, including accounting, economics, and business law. In the fourth year, they can choose Marketing as an elective. This setup provides them with a strong foundation for careers in business, administration, or entrepreneurship.
Classes run from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, which helps students balance school with work or family responsibilities.
The BEd program is geared toward students who want to become teachers, especially in rural schools. It includes core education courses as well as optional subjects. By the final year, students choose one specialization—English, Nepali, or Population Studies—to focus their training.
Both programs offer students more than just classroom theory; they prepare them to return to their communities with the skills to contribute in meaningful ways.
