Overview
Bhawani Multiple Campus was founded in 2006 AD (2063 BS) in Thantipokhari, Palungtar Municipality–5, Gorkha. BMC is affiliated with TU and offers Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programs.
As the only college offering higher education in Palungtar Municipality, it’s more than just a place to earn a degree. For many students, it’s their first chance to study beyond high school in their hometown.
What You Can Study Here
The campus offers two undergraduate programs under Tribhuvan University:
-
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
-
Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS)
These programs are affordable and follow a structured curriculum. The BEd course is for students interested in teaching and education, while BBS covers accounting, economics, and management basics. Both programs help students build useful knowledge, not just in theory but in real-life work situations.
How to Join the Campus
You can apply for admission if you’ve passed your +2 (or equivalent). You’ll need:
-
Two copies of your SEE and +2 certificates
-
Migration document if you’re from a different board
-
Recent passport-sized photos
The admission window opens once a year. Selection is based on academic documents and available seats. You can get help directly from the campus office if you have any questions—they’ll guide you step by step.
Life on Campus
The environment here is calm, focused, and friendly. Students walk in from nearby villages each morning, and class sizes are small enough for teachers to know you by name.
There’s no big-city pressure but a strong sense of commitment. Students come not just to pass exams, but to build their future. The campus regularly hosts educational tours, discussion groups, and practical field visits that go beyond textbook learning.
Who Teaches You and How
The teaching team includes qualified lecturers, many of whom are from the local area. Some also teach in nearby schools and bring that classroom experience into their college teaching.
Lessons are more than just lectures. Teachers ask questions, encourage group work, and focus on helping students understand, rather than memorize. If you’re falling behind, there are extra classes under an EAST program that provides academic support without additional cost.
What’s Inside the Campus
Though the campus is small, it’s organized and well-managed. Facilities include:
-
A library with course books and reference materials
-
Computer center for digital literacy
-
Free Wi-Fi access on campus
-
Playgrounds for regular sports
-
Separate classrooms for each faculty
-
Support for eco-friendly and clean campus management
These facilities aren’t luxury but practical, well-used, and focused on helping students learn.
Life Outside the Classroom
Students here are involved in more than just studies. They join debate clubs, play volleyball and football, and participate in social events and awareness programs.
Educational trips are arranged for both B.Ed. and BBS students to help them connect theory with practice. The campus also celebrates local festivals and invites students to participate, adding cultural learning to academic life.
Financial Support and Scholarships
Understanding students' challenges, Bhawani Multiple Campus provides over 25 scholarship seats annually. These are based on:
-
Academic performance
-
Economic background
-
Caste and ethnic inclusion
-
Disability or physical challenges
If you’re from a disadvantaged community or your family can’t afford tuition, you can still study here with support. The process is fair, and decisions are made with care.
Student Outcomes and Progress
Since the college was founded, more than 100 students have graduated. Many now teach in local schools, work in offices, or continue higher studies.
Former students often return to guide current ones, share experiences, and sometimes even teach part-time. The connection between students and the campus doesn’t end with graduation—it continues as part of a growing learning community.
Why This Campus Still Matters
Bhawani Multiple Campus isn’t trying to compete with prominent city colleges. Its purpose is different—it’s about making education reachable. This campus makes college possible for students from Gorkha and nearby districts like Tanahun and Lamjung without having to move far away or spend beyond their means.
It’s also one of the few places where students from all backgrounds study side by side—learning from each other, building friendships, and shaping their futures.
Final Thoughts
