CNRM was established as a constituent college of Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) under the Faculty of Agriculture, Rampur, Chitwan. The Special Senate meeting of AFU approved the college on April 18, 2017. The establishment year is also recorded as 2074 B.S.
The principal of CNRM, Pakhribas, was appointed on 14th Magh 2074. During its early period, the college operated from the premises of Jalpa Devi Multiple Campus in Pakhribas. Pakhribas Municipality made a six-room structure available for classes, office work, storage, library services, and laboratory activities.
The establishment of the college also involved the “Krishi College Sthapanartha Tadartha Committee.” The committee arranged approximately 100 ropanis of land through donation or purchase and handed the land certificates to AFU. It also worked to arrange additional land for the university.
A three-year construction phase was planned for academic buildings, administrative facilities, farm structures, residential facilities, and related physical requirements. By July 2025, CNRM had dedicated buildings and field areas supporting its academic activities.
The college is located in Pakhribas, Dhankuta district, in the eastern hilly region of Nepal. Its site lies at an elevation of approximately 1,730 meters above sea level and around 27.046033° N latitude and 87.292939° E longitude.
