Academic Program

Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT)

The Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT) at ShiGan Health Foundation is offered through the School of Allied Health Science, ShiGan College. The program is affiliated with CTEVT.

CMLT prepares students for technical work in medical laboratories. Medical laboratory technicians support healthcare services by conducting laboratory tests that assist in disease diagnosis and prevention. The program combines theoretical study with laboratory practice, allowing students to develop academic knowledge and applied technical skills.

The course also includes practical training through on-the-job placement at the laboratories of Nepal Medical College Teaching Hospital. This training component gives students exposure to laboratory procedures in a healthcare setting.

Eligibility, Admission and Fee

Eligibility: Students must have passed SLC/SEE with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Students with TSLC in Medical Laboratory Technology must have at least 67%.

Admission: Admission requires students to pass an entrance examination conducted by CTEVT.

Fee: The total fee for the CMLT program is NPR 370,000.
