Tila Karnali Multiple Campus was established through the joint efforts of local intellectuals, social workers, education supporters, political leaders, local government bodies, and community members. Its location in Manma places the campus in the district headquarters of Kalikot.
The campus was affiliated with Tribhuvan University at the time of its establishment. It ran B.Ed. and BBS programs for more than 13 years under that affiliation. On Bhadra 11, 2075 BS, the campus became a constituent campus of Mid-West University.
After joining Mid-West University, the campus continued under the academic and administrative policies of the university. Its present academic scope is centered on education programs at bachelor and master levels.
