Overview

Viswa Niketan Secondary School, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, is a non-profit educational institution established in 2003 BS (1946 AD) to provide quality education to students from all walks of life, regardless of their caste, creed, culture, or social status. This school has been honored three times with the National Education Award and declared a model science school by the Government of Nepal.

The school was founded under the noble initiative of the late Shree Nara Man Shrestha, a pioneer in education. What started as a small school at his house consistently grew into a highly reputed, renowned community school.

Nearly 5,000 students are studying in two shifts, morning and day, at various levels from Nursery to Grade XII. Following government policy, the school provides free education to students from grades 1 to 10, as well as free education for genuine and economically weaker students in grades 11 and 12. Additionally, scholarships are offered to deserving students.

VNSS offers students a "world of opportunities" to study in five streams: science, Management, Education, Humanities, and Law. The school has also recently received permission to commence classes in technical wings, starting with Electrical Engineering, from the coming session.
