First-semester students study Business Communication, Business Mathematics, Micro Economics, Information Technology for Business and Foundations of Management. A one-credit Practicum on Business Communication brings the semester total to 16 credit hours.
Later subjects include financial and management accounting, statistics, marketing, human resource management, business research, operations management and data analysis. Courses on management information systems and business strategy also connect the technical and organizational sides of business.
The university curriculum identifies four specialization areas:

Applicants must complete twelve years of schooling or an equivalent qualification recognized by Rajarshi Janak University. They need at least 45 percent in aggregate or a CGPA of 1.8 on a 4.0 scale, with a minimum D grade in each subject.
Admission requires at least 40 percent in the Rajarshi Janak University Central Management Admission Test (RJU-CMAT). The test comprises 100 objective questions: 25 each in verbal ability, quantitative ability, logical reasoning and general awareness. Selection is based on entrance examination scores.
