Academic focus of the BBA program

The BBA curriculum starts with subjects that build a foundation in economics, mathematics, language, accounting, and information technology. Students then progress to courses dealing with organizational behaviour, business law, statistics, marketing, finance, operations, research, entrepreneurship, and the Nepalese business environment.

Microeconomics introduces demand, supply, consumer behaviour, production, costs, market structures, and factor pricing. Business Mathematics I and II cover algebra, functions, financial mathematics, calculus, and their applications in business and economics. Computer Applications in Management introduces information systems, computer hardware and software, data resources, networks, enterprise systems, and information security.

Language and communication courses remain part of the program across the early semesters. English Grammar and Composition develops grammar, reading, writing, vocabulary, and critical-thinking abilities. English for Business Administration and Business Communication focus on professional conversations, presentations, meetings, negotiation, telephone communication, and language used in marketing, management, trade, and entrepreneurship.

During the middle and later semesters, students study subjects such as Fundamentals of Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility, International Business, Corporate Finance II, Operations Management, Strategic Management, and Business Research Methods. These courses examine customers and markets, workplace behaviour, ethical responsibilities, international trade, financing decisions, operating systems, organizational strategy, and research design.

The sixth and seventh semesters include Nepalese Business Environment, Cost and Management Accounting, Entrepreneurship Management, Management Information Systems, Banking and Insurance, Taxation in Nepal, International Finance, Quantitative Techniques, and Service Marketing. The sixth-semester structure also includes an Internship Report, adding an applied component to the academic program.

Eighth-semester papers include advanced areas of accounting, auditing, finance, and marketing. Course titles within these areas include Advanced Cost Accounting, Principle of Auditing and Practice, Corporate Accounting, Investment and Portfolio Management, and Social Marketing.
