The +2 Computer Science stream at Cosmopolitan College supports students aiming for IT pathways. In the first year, learners start with problem-solving, algorithmic thinking in plain language, and programming basics.
The second year advances to structured programming tasks, database fundamentals, and introductory networking.
The stream aligns with further study in BSc CSIT, BIT, BCA, or Engineering, depending on mathematics choices.

Topics (indicative): Data types, control structures, arrays, functions, basic OOP ideas, database tables, SQL basics, networks and protocols, ethics and safe computing.
Project tasks may include small console apps, spreadsheet automation, or a mini database with forms and queries.
Practical sessions are scheduled in the computer lab. Teachers give weekly coding exercises, debugging practice, and step-by-step tasks. Students maintain code folders and short reflection notes to track progress.
