The BBS program follows the annual examination system of Tribhuvan University. Final examinations are conducted through the Office of the Controller of Examinations. To appear in the annual examination, students must have at least 70 percent attendance in the classes actually held. A student cannot appear in the second-year final examination without first appearing in the first-year final examination.
The grading structure is Third Division at 35 percent, Second Division at 45 percent, First Division at 60 percent, and Distinction Division at 75 percent. In the fourth year, final project work includes field study, report writing, evaluation by internal and external examiners, and viva-voce.
