Course Overview

The BBS program is designed to develop a general management perspective through conceptual knowledge of business and administration, practical skills, and entrepreneurial understanding. It is intended for students seeking undergraduate study in management within the TU system. The overall curricular pattern combines a business foundation, core business studies, concentration courses, and research-based project work.

At Katahariya Multiple Campus, the program is delivered within the college’s existing academic setting and student support structure. The campus facilities and scholarship support are part of the broader learning environment available to students enrolled in bachelor-level programs.

Course Structure

The four-year BBS curriculum is organized year by year with 500 full marks in each year. The first year includes Business English, Business Statistics, Microeconomics for Business, Financial Accounting and Analysis, and Principles of Management. The second year includes Business Communication, Macroeconomics for Business, Cost and Management Accounting, Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, and Fundamentals of Financial Management.

The third year includes Business Law, Foundation of Financial Systems, Business Environment and Strategy, Taxation in Nepal, and Fundamentals of Marketing. In the fourth year, students study Entrepreneurship, Business Research Methods, and Final Project, along with three concentration courses. The concentration streams available in the fourth year are Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing.

Final project work is an academic requirement in the fourth year. Students complete field work for four weeks, prepare a project report in the prescribed format, and submit it for evaluation. The report may also be presented before the class or faculty members, and evaluation involves internal and external examiners.

Eligibility and Admission

Eligibility

For admission to the BBS program, applicants must have successfully completed 10+2 in business or commerce, or an equivalent course from a Higher Secondary School Board, Tribhuvan University, or another university or board recognized by TU. Applicants must also satisfy any additional entry requirements prescribed by the Faculty Board or the campus.

Admission Process

Admission to TU bachelor-level programs generally follows the regulations of the concerned faculty, Dean’s Office, and campus.
After the publication of the admission notice, eligible applicants submit the prescribed application form along with the required academic documents.
Depending on the program or campus policy, admission may include an entrance examination, merit-based selection, or both.
Selected applicants complete admission through document submission and payment of the prescribed fees.

Academic Environment and Examination System

Katahariya Multiple Campus provides facilities such as library access, sports, multimedia, journal, counseling, classrooms, tour activities, extracurricular activities, and scholarships. Scholarship support is available for Muslim students, girls, Dalit students, Indigenous communities, persons with disabilities, martyrs’ families, and students with extremely weak economic conditions.

The BBS program follows the annual system under TU. Final examinations are conducted by Tribhuvan University through the Office of the Controller of Examinations. To appear in the annual examinations, students must have at least 70 percent attendance in the classes actually held, and students must pass theoretical, practical, and project work components separately where applicable.
