How the curriculum develops
The opening semesters build the academic base needed for management study. Subjects such as Microeconomics, Business Mathematics I, English Grammar and Composition, and Computer Applications in Management introduce students to economic reasoning, numerical methods, academic communication, and information technology.
The second and third semesters extend this foundation through Business Mathematics II, English for Business Administration, Financial Accounting I and II, Business Communication, Business Law, Psychology, and Business Statistics I. These courses connect calculation, communication, accounting practice, legal understanding, human behaviour, and data interpretation with business study.
Middle-semester study covers organizational and functional areas of management. Organizational Behaviour examines individual and group behaviour, motivation, leadership, communication, organizational structure, and change. Fundamentals of Marketing introduces consumer behaviour, market segmentation, product decisions, pricing, distribution, services, and relationship marketing. Business Statistics II continues quantitative analysis and statistical decision-making.
By the fifth semester, students engage with Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Finance II, International Business, Operation Management, and Strategic Management. This stage brings together financial decisions, organizational responsibility, international trade, production and service operations, and strategy formulation.
Advanced and applied study
Sixth-semester subjects include Nepalese Business Environment, Cost and Management Accounting, Entrepreneurship Management, Management Information Systems, and Banking and Insurance. These courses place management study within Nepal’s business setting while addressing costing, business formation, information systems, banking operations, and insurance principles.
The curriculum also includes an Internship Report under subject code MGT 366. This component connects academic study with observation, reporting, and practical engagement in a workplace or organizational setting.
Later study includes subjects such as Taxation in Nepal, International Finance, Service Marketing, and Quantitative Techniques. Eighth-semester options extend into specialist areas, including Investment and Portfolio Management, Social Marketing, Advanced Cost Accounting, Principle of Auditing and Practice, and Corporate Accounting.
Across the syllabus, core theory subjects are commonly presented as three-credit courses with 45 teaching periods. Individual course outlines generally carry 100 total marks and 45 pass marks.

The BBA may suit students who want structured undergraduate study across accounting, finance, marketing, communication, economics, statistics, business law, operations, information systems, entrepreneurship, and organizational management.
