Tribhuvan University’s BA is a four-year, interdisciplinary program under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Students combine majors and electives across social sciences, languages, and cultural studies, with compulsory English, Nepali, and Nepal Studies.

Assessment
Each subject uses 70 marks written exam + 30 marks internal assessment (mini project, presentations, teamwork).

Eligibility

D+ or higher in all Grade 11–12 subjects; or completion of intermediate/PCL/10+2 in any stream from a TU-recognized board.
Notes: Major English/Economics may require proof of earlier study or passing the major within a set period; Journalism majors must have studied Journalism/Mass Communication at +2/PCL.
Further study pathway
Graduates can pursue several MA programs within TU’s humanities and social sciences portfolio, with subject-specific requirements for fields like English, Nepali, and Sanskrit.
