15-Day Acting Workshop Begins in Phikkal, Ilam
A 15-day acting workshop has commenced under the organization of Writers International Global Committee in collaboration with the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama.
Participation from Phikkal Secondary School
The workshop is being held at Phikkal Secondary School, located in Phikkal, Ward No. 10 of Suryodaya Municipality, Ilam. A total of 26 students from Grades 6 to 10 are actively participating in the training.
Opening Remarks by Deputy Mayor
Deputy Mayor of Suryodaya Municipality and chief guest of the opening ceremony, Durgabahadur Baral, addressed the gathering. He emphasized the significant role such programs play in the personality development of students.
Recalling his own background in singing and creative work, he expressed that he has always valued the arts. He further stated that the municipality would not hesitate to allocate a budget for such initiatives, recognizing art as an essential part of human life.
Emphasis on Local Investment in Arts
Puru Lamsal, a scholar and drama instructor from the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama, highlighted the importance of local government investment in art and culture. He encouraged the participating students to see the training as an opportunity to discover and express their hidden talents.
Principal Highlights Creative Growth
The chairperson of the program and principal of the school, Gangabahadur Mahat, expressed his belief that this workshop would help students grow not just academically, but also artistically, creatively, and practically.
